Is SOMA Breathwork Right for You? Health Considerations and Precautions

1 min. readlast update: 02.12.2024

Yes, you can (most likely) take part in SOMA Breathwork!

The only times you are advised against practising SOMA Breath are if you have:

  • Unmanaged hypertension
  • Late stage illness where breathing is difficult
  • Epilepsy (unless your doctor gives you permission)
  • A pacemaker (unless your doctor gives you permission)
  • An illness that limits your capacity to breathe

With that being said, we are not medical professionals. If you have a health condition and you want to know whether you will be safe, please talk to your doctor, physician, or healthcare provider beforehand. They know your medical history and all of the details of your health. They can give you the best answer.

In the case of many chronic health conditions, breathwork and Pranayama can indeed be beneficial to your health. That is why we have developed SOMA Therapeutic Breathwork.

Please consider working directly with one of our amazing SOMA Instructors who can help you implement the techniques in a way that is uniquely tailored to your needs.
