What has changed in the Level 1 Instructor Training? Is this completely new content? Do I need to start over?

Instructor Training has been restructured into a clear, step-by-step training pathway.

This improves:

Learning flow and clarity
Skill progression
Real-world teaching confidence

This upgrade is not only structural - it also includes new and updated training content, new structure of lessons, workbooks, new assessment scripts and tracks.

1. New Module 3 on Facilitation Skills

A completely new module inside the Instructor Course focused on the art of facilitation.

This goes beyond techniques and teaches how to:

Hold space effectively
Guide groups with confidence
Develop authentic presence as a facilitator

This is highly recommended for all students as it directly supports real-world teaching.

2. Mind Movie Technique (New Standard)

The Mind Movie technique has been introduced as a new standard within the training.

This is a key application tool used in SOMA Breath® sessions for:

Visualization
State change
Enhancing transformation

To stay aligned with the latest methodology, all instructors are encouraged to complete and integrate this section into their practice.

3. Updated Contraindications (New Standard)

Before guiding any SOMA Breath session, it’s essential to clearly communicate safety guidelines.

While the techniques you’re learning are generally safe and designed to support the body and nervous system, your role as an instructor is to create a safe and informed environment for every participant.

4. The Science of Breath was previously part of Level 1B and is now a separate module. Assessment was revised.

Note: Your progress on Legacy Training remains valid. You do not need to restart or repeat anything if you are already certified, but we do recommend going through The Instructor Course.
